Ignition Entertainment Brings Blue Dragon Plus to the DS

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

Ignition Entertainment Ltd is recognised as a global developer and publisher of video games. This UTV enterprise is in the news nowadays for its latest move in acquiring rights for publishing Blue Dragon Plus for DS. This venture is a combined effort of Ignition Entertainment and AQ Interactive. The Blue Dragon Plus name needs little introduction as Cartoon Network viewers are already familiar with it.

After the success of a TV show in the U.S., Blue Dragon Plus will now entertain gamers with its exciting adventures directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi. It’s definitely not the first Cartoon Network show to see success in the gaming market, considering such hits as Ben 10 - Protector of Earth (Wii). The soundtracks by Nobuo Uematsu and characters designed by Akira Toriyama are also a great attraction. The story of the game centres around a boy called Shu, who has power over the phantom shadows. Dragon Plus features gameplay in which Shu and his friends come back to action a year after defeating Nene. The role-playing game brings a new challenge for our young protagonist: the specter of a dragon with three heads. As conveyed by Ignition, the game will offer a 30-hour solo player campaign and a complete motion video of more than an hour, which will enhance the overall thrill.

It seems like a great achievement for Ignition Entertainment, as well as AQ Interactive, in terms of a business deal. The President of Ignition, Ajay Chadha said, “Out-of-box thinking and effective marketing are the cornerstones of our success….” On the other hand, AQ Interactive is also pleased to work with Ignition. Tomoyuki Takechi, the CEO of the company calls it an “excellent partnership”.
