Baby Pals (DS): Perfect for Aspiring or Soon-to-be Parents

Monday, June 15th, 2009

You might have played those games where you were told to fight digital creatures, but this is a game where you have to look, talk to and take care of human babies. The baby pals for the Nintendo DS Lite gives you a chance to show you maternal/paternal instincts by attending to the adolescents. The graphics are superb and the designs that have been fabricated for babysitting are simply marvellous. The babies look realistic and it would seem to the gamer as if he/she is being made to look after real ones. The game starts by giving the gamer an option to choose the colour of eyes of the babies and also the skin tone. The gender can also be chosen accordingly and features have also been installed to change their diapers. The game is a complete tutorial for those who need to excel in parenting.

Mini games in Baby Pals (DS) include “take a bath” and “change the diaper” which can be testing sessions for those who are not used to indulging in such activities. Baby Pals for the DS Lite is indeed a very endearing game. The babies in Baby Pals DS will make the gamer run all over the home and will make him/her do things that one cannot even imagine of. Now from a certain point of view, the game is also beneficial because at some point in time, all of us become parents. So one becomes more familiar with the task of parenting and might also get used to it in the process. Young children do require a lot of attention and that is exactly what the two ask for in the Baby Pals (DS). Buy it and the process will be enjoyable.

My Baby Boy for the Nintendo DS

Monday, December 29th, 2008

My Baby Boy for the DS can certainly teach parents in practice a thing or two about parenting. The game displays how a typical new born baby cries, screams, urinates and defecates. The scheme has been kept blue for a Baby boy, whereas it is pink for his female counterpart. The gender is chosen as a boy by default, unless the gamer has a change of mind at the last moment. The game gives the gamer leverage to choose the eye colour and nationality of the baby and also the right to name the boy. During the game, the gamer will eventually meet a doctor and a nurse named George and Clara, who assist the gamer while the baby grows up. The game’s design contains many rooms which the gamer can use to take care of the baby.

Using the map icon will help the user in getting access to the bathroom, kitchen, dressing room, changing room, storeroom etc. The other areas of My Baby Boy keep getting unlocked as the baby keeps growing. The wiping gel can be used to wipe out the child’s feces and is supposed to be dragged to the trash can once used. The baby’s legs need to be lifted to change diapers. Completing two tasks in a month is imperative to keep progressing in the game. These tasks help the bay boy to better his speech and motor skills. The baby ages by a month when the bars for the tasks in a month become full and with time, his eating habits will also undergo change. The flow of the game is well timed and the baby slowly learns how to follow the commands directed at him. The commands have to be passed through the microphone. All in all, the game is a must for all those who enjoy parenting, whether they are recent parents or are in the family way.
