Lost in Blue 3 (DS): The Next Chapter in the Lost in Blue Survival Series

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

Lost in Blue 3 (DS) is the next chapter in the popular Lost in Blue series. It is a survival adventure series that castes you as a male or female character. The story starts as you have survived an unexplained sinking of the cruise ship and are now struck on an unmanned island. On that island you find another person who has survived the disaster. Now you have to keep each other alive till you are rescued or you manage to escape. As you go on two more characters will join which will help find a way out of the trap. Like the earlier lost in blue games this Nintendo DS game also requires a steady eye and four different status gauges.

The four different gauges include stamina, food, water and health. Every gauge finishes over time and each effect differently when it reaches zero. Hence the game requires total concentration as you need to search food, fresh water and collect other items. These items will help build tools using which you can start a fire or spear a fish. The best element of the Lost in Blue 3 (DS) game is the exploration of the island. The island is very dense and as you will discover shipwrecks, new food items, crocodiles and many other exciting things. You become the leader of the pack and everyone works according to your supervision. Each and every character will depend on you for food and water. If any one of the character dies then it is game over at the very moment.

The Konami game has a reasonable interface. Most of the minigames are taken from the previous versions of Lost in Blue. All in all a very interesting game to play when you want to enjoy the thrill of surviving on a lonely island.

The escapades cut across numerous planets and feature a lot of creatures whom you can only see in movies based on the extra terrestrial. The plot of the game from Electronic Arts is appealing and has a lot of features which will make you ask for more and more. The journey is completely based in space with the gamer portraying the role of a hero whose ally Little Oogie is kidnapped by aliens. You need to set out on a rescue operation to save your tiny friend whilst ensuring that you decimate every hindrance that comes in your way. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time (DS) is an exciting RPG

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

Dungeon crawlers can be very intriguing. They will keep goofing up with their way out and at the same time will pull off something that will invariably take them to them next echelon. The Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time (DS) for the Nintendo DS lodges one such character which is all set to enthral audiences, veterans and beginners. Monsters are a constant show up where as puzzles keep loitering around the gamer which adds that extra bit of chutzpah to the whole process. One can also call it a plot to divert the attention of the gamer away from the main tasks, but then its absence will only deprive the gamer of that requisite attention which the game deserves. The Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time (DS) game from Square Enix takes off by the protagonist celebrating his 16th birth anniversary. The gamer has to choose a tribe and gender and is then packed off to the village outskirts. This is the place where some mysterious creatures need to be slaughtered and the gamer is bestowed with a small crystal.

Dark shadows are cast over the village and a villager falls seriously ill. That is where the game really picks up steam as it tackles the gamer into a voyage which requires him to venture into the world of crystals and unravel many secrets. The rest of the game is about the gamer reaching his quest and learning a lot of hidden truths about his own past. The Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time DS game is exciting enough for the gamer to start playing and only keeps getting better as the game progresses. The graphics are scintillating and the most surprising part is the storyline which stays active throughout the course of the game. This is something which is missing from most of the adventure based games and its absence ends up killing the interest of the gamer. The pricing is reasonable for the new concept initiated and playing it will only ensure a chill of adrenaline. That is what real gamers like!

Monster Jam: Urban Assault (DS): License to Wreck Cars with your Monster Truck

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

Monster Jam: Urban Assault for the Nintendo DS is a game which gives you the license to shatter vehicles and other cars which come in your way while you are busy going ahead in your journey. The behemoth vehicle driven by the gamer is too good to be driven in confined areas and hence, the gamer sets out on huge roads wrecking mayhem on cars which seem to be insects in front of the gargantuan vehicle driven by him. The DS game offers a lot to gamers with four play modes spicing things up. The gamer can choose from Smasher, speedster, stuntman and World Series. All four modes are distinct in their own ways. The first one is for gaining points through destruction. The second in line is for racing semi-traditional bouts, the third is based on the tricks and the last one is all about a motley crew of interesting modes.

The gamer can opt for modern as well as customary circuit races. All the main events are displayed on the top screen where as the bottom part of the screen is meant for showing the damage meter and the designated map. The Monster Jam: Urban Assault (DS) game is good if you are an ardent fan of slick action. The action never stops and keeps going on all the time. The boost meter in the game is filled up when objects are smashed right, left and centre. There are a lot of venues where the plot of the game is based and the D-Pad of the DS Lite is all about controlling properly. The audio is good and the pricing of the game is ideal. Get the game and unleash your killer instincts with your monster truck.
