Tropix: An Entertaining Collection of 11 Minigames in One

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

Are you sick of slaying all those zombies and protecting the pretty creatures for no reason? It’s time for a vacation as you desperately need a change. So pack your bags and prepare your DS Lite to have a great time in a Tropical island.

Relax! You don’t have to do that literally. All you need is to buy this new game called Tropix and enjoy the change. It is a wonderful collection of 11 minigames meant for everyone above 10 years of age. However, you may perceive it as a kiddish collection but it is actually a relaxing game that ensures great fun. Ideal for refreshing the joys of gaming, Tropix’s assortment contains familiar favourites like Sudoku, Solitaire and bowling. While none of these single mini games are quite as in depth as standalone DS titles of the same type of game, such as Essential Sudoku for the DS, they are still implemented quite well. Then there are some interesting puzzles like match-three-fruits-in-a-row challenge and a Zuma clone. The Tropical dish is finally garnished with a mix of light action games like parasailing and vine swinging.

The touch screen and stylus controls work well and you can also enhance the fun by earning more sand dollars to get more goodies. So purchase more stuff and unlock better options… I mean more games. And if you want your buddies to join in, you can use the option of a multi-card play. One thing that is common in all the games of Tropix is the simplicity and ease. The casual gaming style will particularly impress people who like to play relaxing and light games.

So if you have a dream of visiting a Tropical island, you can get a hang of coconut bowling and other jungle playoffs in Tropix.

WarioWare: Touched! Review For the DS

Friday, November 14th, 2008

In 2002, WarioWare: Mega Microgame on the Game Boy Advanced touched a new genre of rapid fire minigames. Traveling through the passage of time, WarioWare is now all ready for the Nintendo DS in the form of WarioWare: Touched!

The game relates to the same story concept that was used in the first game but implies a novel touch. You will play through some microgames one after one, without knowing about the next in the series. Every part will present a different set of rules and you will have to perform the simple task of performing the required act(s). Use your touchscreen, microphone to enjoy the games and have fun popping balloons and sometimes the air bubbles with the stylus. But is that the only activity? Not at all! You must drag the items, tap on the screen and draw lines to mention a few of all the tricks.

If you love adventure and find pleasure in facing the gaming challenges, Touched has some thing for you. The consecutive levels include some small but really exciting challenges that let you taste the thrill. It is actually like experiencing a new angle on the same concept. In the whole gaming environment, you will merely find it to be a straightforward play.

So add the WarioWare: Touched to your DS library and have some more fun!
