Mister Slime or Slimy

A green-headed giant with four arms, who is stuck doing odd jobs for the local tribal leader is a good way to describe this new game for the Nintendo DS called Mister Slime. Featuring a mucous- filled little hero called Slimy, it is sure to please action lovers. As a gamer of this 2D platform game, you will land as Slimy and navigate through all the levels drumming anchor points. As you touch each anchor, Slimy will widen an arm to capture it, propelling him to move ahead.

Beware of the dangers!

Action games obviously contain danger factors, which in this case comes in the shape of poisonous plants in this clever gameplay. However, Slimy is powerful enough to perform acts such as levitating and swimming, which allow him to navigate through all the prevailing dangers whilst making the play more daring for the players.

Mister Slime’s world is dotted with hazards such as wicked robots and flaming birds, which can be defeated with a headbutt. Furthermore, there are many more attractions for you like the ice world, for example, where you can warm up Slimy’s hands to defrost them and the spiders in the forest. However, the role of spiders is limited to spinning a web around you, to block you from behind.

Give it a try!

To experience the real powers of Slimy you need to give this engrossing Nintendo DS game a whirl. Apart from the thrill and adventure, you will need to have your wits about you, as this game has puzzle elements in it too.

Harry Potter is back

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

Harry Potter is one of the all-time favorite movies for many of us and you’ll be just as happy to know that Harry Potter’s sixth movie, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, is coming to the Nintendo DS. Just like its earlier games, it is mostly revolves around carrying out quests for the students at Hogwarts to continue the story. You frequently come across several minigames depending on who you talk to. You can even access a handful of minigames from the menu like Quidditch, Gobstones, Snap and Wizard Skittles.

Quidditch is a fast-paced game in which you have to pass the ball to your teammates before the time runs out. The timer is represented by a separate snitch and the moment the snitch comes together, you’ll play as a seeker and try to get the elusive snitch. Gobstone is like Marbles, seen in previous Harry Potter games, where you try to match up cards in pairs. Wizard Skittles is set up like a pinball machine, where you have to try to launch the ball to hit the target.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is sure to attract attention when it is released later this year. So wait and watch!

Wanna go to Ninjatown?

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

SouthPeak games is ready to launch Ninjatown for the Nintendo DS in fall 2008. On one side of Ninjatown there is a towering active volcano, Mount Feroshi, and on the other side there is a dark mysterious forest, which houses several evils. This town will give you a feeling of any small town with small parks, houses and stores. Ninjas live peacefully and go about their daily activities such as napping and constant training to sharpen their martial art moves.

The goal of this strategic game is to build a number of different ninja units to keep the enemies at bay and stop them proceeding through the base. Before the enemies appear players should have a number of ninja units ready to combat the enemy before they exit the base. Each time the enemy is defeated the player wins cookies or currency which will be further used to build up and upgrade other ninjas. So the more enemies that are defeated, the more cookies are won. The overall strategy of the game is enhanced as the level progresses.

Some of the Ninjas are Wee Ninja, White Ninja, Anti Ninja, Master Ninja, Baby Ninja, wee Devil, Mr. Demon etc. Ninjas in Ninjatown are very cute looking characters that will certainly keep players amused.
