Bleach - Dark Souls DS Sequel adds Plenty of Features

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

The Bleach - Dark Souls (DS) is a game that has been developed for the Nintendo DS and is also being said to be a sequel to Bleach: The Blade of Fate. The game has all sorts of features packed into it. The concept of the fighting engine has been retained and so has been the graphical interface that was used in the previous edition. The combat scenes have a lot of innovation going into them and there are a lot of improvements that have been carried out to make the game look and feel better while playing it. The storyline of the game has been presented somewhere in between the anime series, the first couple of seasons to be precise. There are a lot of mechanics in the game which will be easily mastered by the gamer as the game progresses courtesy the simple controls of the Nintendo DS.

When the gamer keeps progressing through the game, he/she tends to earn certain Unlockables or capital through which art, character colours and other paraphernalia can be bought from the shop. Once the plot starts, the Bleach - Dark Souls DS game gets so engrossing that the gamer would feel like running through all the sessions at blitz speed. The chaos is great and there are around 40 characters to play with. All these characters have distinct powers and abilities and the gamer will keep double jumping, dashing in the air and dodging all the time. The gamer will have the independence to used special moves which will make the player hit deadly combos. They might be a little challenging to learn but after learning will be quite overwhelming for the foe to avoid. The game from developer Sega is superb and reasonably priced. You will have many reasons to buy it.

Dinosaurs: Combat of Giants is a Simple Dino Fighting Game for the DS

Sunday, May 17th, 2009

The mightiest and most feared of all creatures to ever walk on this planet are brought back to like in Dinosaurs: Combat of Giants for the Nintendo DS. Incredible detail and rich vivid environments form the background for the game published by Atari.

The plot could not get any simpler, all you have to do is combat other dinosaurs and defend your territory. The Dinosaurs: Combat of Giants DS game is extremely intuitive and all the actions are completely controlled by the stylus. Begin the terror by selecting one dinosaur from the 26 different species that include the predators and scavengers, featured in the game. Three different types of gameplay are offered in the game – the tournament mode, multiplayer mode and the quickmatch mode. In the game you will have to search for food and water to keep your beast alive while simultaneously battling other dinosaurs and defending your territory. The game features nine different locations to defend. Each location has its own unique characteristics and brand new threats that you have to fend off. Defeating a rival dinosaur in combat earns you an egg. The egg is sort of an upgrade that allows you to customise your dinosaur by adding horns, bones or feathers. This enhances the performance of your dinosaur and makes it stronger. The multiplayer mode allows you to combat with 8 players at once. The customising option allows you to change your dinosaurs colour and pattern to your taste.

This simplistic Nintendo DS game does not give you more that plain combat and survival. There is no plot as such but the head to head combat proves to be quite entertaining.
