This review is of Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin for the Nintendo DS Lite courtesy of Craig Harris from IGN.com. The year is 1944 and Dracula’s castle has appeared again and it’s up to you to get rid of it. Craig gives the game an 8.9 out of 10.

Dawn of Sorrow is an intricate game that features all of the vampire hunting fans can handle, but the DS functionality is merely a novelty. With its strong character customization and challenging difficulty, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is the most addictive Castlevania game since 1997 Symphony of the Night. It scores a 7.3 for story, 8.7 for gameplay, 9.5 for design and an overall score of 9.1. Not too shabby!
