Lost in Blue 3 (DS): The Next Chapter in the Lost in Blue Survival Series

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

Lost in Blue 3 (DS) is the next chapter in the popular Lost in Blue series. It is a survival adventure series that castes you as a male or female character. The story starts as you have survived an unexplained sinking of the cruise ship and are now struck on an unmanned island. On that island you find another person who has survived the disaster. Now you have to keep each other alive till you are rescued or you manage to escape. As you go on two more characters will join which will help find a way out of the trap. Like the earlier lost in blue games this Nintendo DS game also requires a steady eye and four different status gauges.

The four different gauges include stamina, food, water and health. Every gauge finishes over time and each effect differently when it reaches zero. Hence the game requires total concentration as you need to search food, fresh water and collect other items. These items will help build tools using which you can start a fire or spear a fish. The best element of the Lost in Blue 3 (DS) game is the exploration of the island. The island is very dense and as you will discover shipwrecks, new food items, crocodiles and many other exciting things. You become the leader of the pack and everyone works according to your supervision. Each and every character will depend on you for food and water. If any one of the character dies then it is game over at the very moment.

The Konami game has a reasonable interface. Most of the minigames are taken from the previous versions of Lost in Blue. All in all a very interesting game to play when you want to enjoy the thrill of surviving on a lonely island.
