Igor (DS): Solve Puzzles in the World of Malaria with Igor

Monday, September 28th, 2009

Igor is a game that is perfectly made for the Nintendo DS which is a touch screen handheld gaming console. The game is developed by SouthPeak Interactive which is one of the biggest game developers in the world. The game is basically based on the very famous cartoon series Igor. The game is based on the idea of developing monsters who will rule the world. The game doesn’t stick to the plot but it is built in a way that it will definitely interest you.

Igor is actually a boy scientist who has built the greatest monster of all time. As you start producing the monster you will have to complete various mini games. You will play these games against your opponent and as you keep winning you will make your monster stronger. The controls in the Igor (DS) game are very easy and totally support the touch screen features of the gaming console. When your monster comes to the battle mode the attack buttons are colour coded. You have to build your power by playing a tetris type game. If you win the battle then you win slime. These slimes can be exchanged at your laboratory for various upgrades. In the starting the game seems to be pretty easy but once you move to the later stages it becomes harder.

The graphics of the puzzle game are average but the gameplay is spectacular. The audios are terrific as well and they perfectly complement the audios. It is specially made for kids but all in all a good game.

Make Your World Colourful With Fireworks

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

Big Bang Mini is an upcoming game for the DS Lite based on a fireworks theme. This game, designed by Arkedo Studio, is meant for everyone who loves vibrant colours on their screen. SouthPeak interactive will publish this game based on a whole new idea of shooting enemies. The innovation lies in creating colourful and exciting fireworks to fight the enemies. So you can enjoy shooting bullets at your enemies along with making the sky full of sparkling colours at the same time.

The enemies you face are just as creative as the gaming concept. Walruses riding on flying carpets, marionette skeletons and monkeys drifting above the buildings all make up your opponents in Big Bang Mini. Sounds pretty exciting doesn’t it? Of course, with Nintendo games like Animal Crossing: Wild World, original games are nothing new to the game console. The game also comes with 10 different areas based on different themes.

In the beginning, the player lighs fireworks adjacent to the skyline along, while shooting balloons and the pigs attached to them. Later at one level you have to collect air bubbles to survive, which will make you jump from your seat with the fast-paced action. Words alone cannot describe the game’s originality.

But you will have to hold your excitement till January 2009 for this DS lite touch screen game. Be ready to use your creative minds for devising destructive devices, in order to defeat the strange and unique adversaries.
