Super Mario 64 DS: Revisiting the Classic N64 Game on the DS
Since the evolution of the gaming world, “Super Mario”, a legendary name, has been rocking the entire youth generation in the early decades. Every individual who owns a video game has stepped his or her foot in the gaming world with the Mario game. With time the game became very popular, but this passing phase has also lead to its disintegration as it became a child-play for gamers. This game also went through many renovations as time passed and finally the Super Mario 64 DS, a new and improvised game developed by the Nintendo DS was launched in the gaming market in 2004.
The story of this game begins when Princess Peach invites Mario to her castle but before he could reach Bowser invades the castle using the castle’s 120 Power Stars and imprisons the Princess. The paintings present in the castle are portals that lead to other worlds, where the stars are being guarded by Bowser’s minions. To recover the stars Mario enters the other worlds through the portals that have been thoroughly searched by him. Recovering more stars Mario gains access to more and more rooms, leading to three ferocious battles with Bowser, who finally releases the Princess Peach after he’s defeated in the final battle.
The all new Super Mario 64 DS has been rejuvenated with several features like dual screen, touch screen and capability for wireless multiplayer. Many new stages, puzzles and characters have been introduced in the new Super Mario 64 DS game. The newly introduced characters in the game have their own advantages and disadvantages which can be kept in mind while using them to collect the hidden 150 Power Stars in the castle as the game progresses. This newly introduced game is highly adventurous and is equipped with top screen display for primary action and the bottom screen for mini-challenges. The Super Mario 64 DS also features control functionality and a radar screen for battles. With the presence of the Wireless Versus mode the player can battle three friends in only one DS Game Card.
