Well, even before you read this ensure that you have your charger about you because this is a confirmed “addiction material” and you will never end up closing that lid of your DS lite. Picross is a game published by Jupiter for the Nintendo DS series of consoles and it demands a flawless execution of logic and patience, because it isn’t just a “join-the-dots” game.

The game basically follows the usual picross rules – nonograms or logic puzzles by painting pictures. The game consists of cells that are to colored or not colored at all, depending on the numbers that show up at the side. On completion of the game you ought to have arrived at a picture – provided you got it right. It might sounds simple, but it does demand a fair amount of focus and concentration to arrive at the logic.

picross for the ds liteThis game has the power to keep awake through the night, covered under the blanket and furiously trying to get it right, again and again until you cross the point of no return. This brain-teaser brings life to normal puzzle games and is an awesome value for the price it is available at. The feels natural since the touch-screens make it easy to play it, but sometimes the grids shrink in size in contrast to an increase in size that can make it a little irritable to zoom in and out to notice the boxes inside. It has also has a two player mode, by the way.

On the whole, a great “value for money” game that comes with a solid promise to get you hooked on to it for life.
