Garfield’s Fun fest - The Funny Cat is Back Again!!
Apart from being an adorable and a hilarious comic strip character, Garfield makes for an iconic merchandise item. Garfield’s Fun fest is a humorous game launched for DS Lite enthusiasts. The cat is back with a bang. This time a DVD of the same name has also been launched in conjunction with the game.
The game, which is filled with colourful cartoon characters, is mainly aimed at the younger segment and Garfield devotees. The game is especially suitable as storytelling for children, because still images and text frequently appear to help children understand the plot. The plot in Garfield’s Fun Fest (NDS) goes like this. Garfield and his friends set out for the Annual grin City’s Fun fest. The fest is an annual fair where a performance competition happens for the comic strip characters. As they reach the fest, Garfield’s girlfriend Arlene was swept off her feet by the fantastic cat named Ramone. Heartbroken, Garfield stopped smiling and set out to find Freddy the funny frog so that he could drink some of his magical water before he returns to the fest. Garfield wants to become the fair champion to win back his love.
Most of the characters are just ornamental and do nothing in particular. Garfield loves to eat and he loves to sleep. The game has been divided into 2 panels. In the top panel you can jump or climb your way around, and in the second level you can seek your goals. Odie, the canine pet is always there behind you so that you can climb on his back, and then be taken to places that are not otherwise accessible. Overall this is a fun filled and a light hearted game for kids or fans of the comic strip.
