Ultimate Puzzle Game: Professor Layton and the Curious Village Reviewed

Monday, March 31st, 2008

The video review by Gametrailers does an excellent job of running through this cute Japanese puzzle game. One of the Professor Layton and the Curious Village’s greatest strengths is how the puzzles are successfully interwoven within the story; so that it does not get monotonous simply playing one puzzle after another. The game might look cute, but don’t let that fool you as some the puzzles are both very difficult and extremely frustrating. All in all though, the game is a very enjoyable experience, while the animation and story keep it interesting. As far as puzzle titles go, this is one of the best available for the DS Lite. Enjoy the video.

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

GameTrailers reviews Cooking Mama 2 DS for the Nintendo DS Lite. The original Cooking Mama DS had a big enough following that it was time to release a sequel. They give it a 7.2 for design, 7.0 for gameplay, 7.2 for presentation and an overall score of 7.1.

Prism: Light the Way DS Review

Friday, November 16th, 2007

GameTrailers reviews Prism: Light the Way DS for the Nintendo DS Lite. This is an excellent puzzle game in which you “help the Globos” before they explode! If you’re looking for a puzzle game that is a bit off the beaten path and not just another tetris or bejeweled clone, consider getting this game. They give it a 5.9 for story, 8.6 for design, 8.2 for gameplay, 7.1 for presentation and an overall rating of 8.5. Don’t let this hidden gem pass you by!
