Operation Vietnam (DS): An OK Shooter for a Cheap Price
Monday, December 21st, 2009There are some games which are totally based on a storyline and Operation Vietnam is one of them. The story starts as four men gets lost in a jungle and would have to get them out of the situation. The four men are loaded with some guns and grenades and some occasional air strikes. You will take guard of some stranded soldiers who are struck in the middle of the Vietnam War. You will have to make sure that they reach home in one piece.
You will have to fight against the enemy forces. The visuals of the game are not that good. The game is an action packed game and is provided in a top down perspective. The action is not very fast paced and you can play with a strategy. In the Operation Vietnam game you begin as a Sarge who is a lone soldier who is stranded with a rapid fire gun. You will have to find three companions and rescue them immediately. These three companions have actually crashed behind the very dangerous enemy lines in a Vietnamese jungle. One of those people is a doctor and he has the ability to heal a soldier. The game Operation Vietnam is about managing your multiple men in the best possible way.
The controls of the game are pretty difficult to understand and you will have to practice a lot to get a hang of things. The entire game is based on the strategy. The gameplay is the best part in this game.

Nintendo still rules as sales figures roll in from Japan. The creators of the super successful Zelda and Mario series have continually pipped competitors Sony PSP and Microsoft Xbox for the top spot since Wii was released. However, not all things Nintendo are retaining the top spot. Nintendo DS Lite was enjoying a clean run in the portable game console war except for a minor upset briefly in autumn last year.
