My DoItAll brings DSi Capabilities to the DS

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

With the DSi on the way, one of the most noticeable changes is the non-game applications that are being developed for it. We’ve seen the announcements for applications such as calculators, memo pads, audio editors, etc. that are on their way through download for the DSi.

My DoItAll is an application by itself that brings all the functionalities of these DSi exclusive applications to the people who don’t want to spend more money to trade in their old faithful DS for the Nintendo DSi. One would call the DoItAll an all-in-one productivity suite. There are tons of applications available, but none of them have been focused on for quality. They all serve the purpose, but they are not extra-ordinary in what they do.

There are around 15 different applications included in My DoItAll, including a periodic table, a metronome, a calculator, and some more interesting ones such as a voice changer, which can change the selected audio clipping based on the voice recorded through the mic of the DS. There are also a couple of card games included for random entertainment, like Ninety-Eight and Crazy Eights. There is a wireless polling app, and a dice simulation app, which may be among some of the least used.

Then there’s the calendar, which is put into a PDA-style interface, in just what might be the center of My DoItAll. It serves the same purposes as the other available calendar applications, with a nice look to it.

The idea of My DoItAll is quite interesting and a good, but the visuals are not very pleasing and navigation can get a little annoying at times. However, it is worth a look if you are in need of an organizer and do not want the extra hardware.

Enjoy your iPod on DS Lite

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Almost every one is familiar with both Apple’s iPod and Nintendo’s DS Lite. Both of these gadgets are some of the greatest entertainers of the decade. While the Apple iPod has revolutionised the way people listen to the music, the DS Lite has revolutionized the way they play sophisticated games with a handheld console. Now get ready to enjoy one more revolution in the entertainment world. The power of the iPod has been combined with the handheld gaming device, DS Lite.

Unbelievable, isn’t it? But it’s true. Imagine carrying an iPod with you, but not as a separate gadget, and instead in the form of a soft copy loaded into the DS Lite. There is new software which clones the Apple iPod. It can be installed in the DS Lite console for use. The main feature of this newbie is that it looks exactly same as the original iPod, not the new iPod Touch or anything, on the DS screen. The menus, the user interface and even the jog dial have been designed similar to the original one. This makes it easy to use for those who are familiar with the functioning of the original Apple iPod. All the functions are touch screen enabled and can be accessed via the DS Lite stylus. Just like the original iPod, this clone also lets you create playlists, sort the tracks, keep track information, forward, rewind, play/pause, shuffle, loop etc. So get one installed in your DS right now.

Chat with “Pictochat” on DS Lite

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

The DS Lite is a highly sophisticated gaming console that has taken over the minds and hearts of the young generation. It is equipped with superb features and one can play it non-stop. One of its inbuilt unique features is the “Pictochat”. So, what it is all about? You can use it to chat with your DS Lite. How? On one of the screen of DS Lite a keyboard is displayed which you can use to write anything you want to say.

The message that you write on one of the dual screens gets displayed on the other screen and is answered by a WiFi network from the one you are chatting with. Similarly, you can write anything that you want to and chat with your friends. The DS Lite Pictochat is a great feature for the handheld, apart from its stupendous games. Now, you can chat with one or more as there are different chat rooms available. Chatting is fun and can keep you glued to your DS Lite screen for long hours. Unfortunately, one can only chat with other Nintendo DS owners using Pictochat, and not with other people on their laptop or computer. Apart from playing games one can refresh his/her mind by chatting on DS Lite. So, if you are getting bored and want to chat with someone start chatting!

Woof Woof! We are the Nintendodogs

Friday, June 20th, 2008

Gaming has never been as much fun as it is with Nintendo on the gaming scene. Now, go beyond just playing games, experience an all-new piece of animation fun as your Nintendo DS Lite gets a funfilled companion, i.e. the Nintendodogs.

Yes, you can own a dog and even name it “Tuffy” in your Nintendo. He will do whatever you ask him to do. You say jump, he will jump. You say sit; he will sit and follow your commands. This 3D animation game is a great entertainer. They will play with you and will appear lifelike and make you feel as if you are playing with your own live dog even, though you don’t own one. And unlike with regular dogs, it is unnecessary to purchase expensive dog supply products. It is great fun to watch them with your family and kids. Nintendodogs will certainly keep you glued to your DS Lite. Apart, from all sorts of games like fighter, adventure and others, this will surely be distinct. Unfortunately your dog cannot be programmed to dance to MP3 music files. They will show you different moves like handstand and roll down on the ground at your wish. All you need to do is tap the dual screen of your Nintendo with your stylus. You can scratch their and tap their back and have a merry time with them.

So, don’t think and get a copy of Nintendodogs for your Nintendo DS Lite which will surely wipe out boredom and bring pleasure and joy in your life. Next time when you go to buy a Nintendo don’t forget to get a copy of Nintendodogs, get ready for the ultimate rollercoaster fun ride. Woof Woof!

Your DS Lite’s inner World

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

Have you ever thought that what makes DS Lite perform so well? Do you think about the body parts of your DS Lite, Its inner world? Let’s get set for some exploration. All you need is a DS Lite, a cutter and some screw drivers.

Beginning with the back panel of the touch screen, if you remove the small white cover you will see that high quality battery which powers your DS Lite. Now remove the remaining body at the back. You will see all the circuits and chips, which logically control your DS Lite and tell it what to do and how to do. Besides that you will also see the microprocessor, the heart of DS Lite, which works very hard to give you the mind blowing graphics and mesmerizing sound effects. These chips and circuits are embedded on a green colored logic board. You can unscrew this logic board and after doing this just turn the board to the opposite side. You will see the points, which receive the instructions when you press control buttons and the touch screen. You can easily separate the two screens and see what’s there inside it.
