Tony Hawks Motion (DS) Game is Promising but Lacks Execution

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

The Tony Hawk skating game series has taken over on all game consoles be it the Nintendo DS. The all new Tony Hawks Motion is much more than a normal skating game. This game involves skating, snowboarding and various features as well. The only drawback of the game is that it is way too short then other versions. For completing the game you will have to complete various skateboarding and snowboarding missions. The DS game is pretty easy in the beginning but gradually it becomes very difficult and you will have to practice a lot in order to complete all the missions.

The entire game includes around 20 different challenges to complete. You cannot play this game on the multiplayer which is a down side of this fantastic game. The controls of the Tony Hawks Motion (DS) game are pretty difficult to learn but its all about practice and you will have to get a hang of it. Once you get a hang of the controls your fingers will automatically move and the game will become a piece of cake. The graphics are pretty average but the gameplay is decent and will keep engaged. You can perform some all new stunts and tricks on a variety of surfaces.

You can create you own skater which is the best part of the game. Furthermore, you can even customise the skater by dressing him or her accordingly. The single player mode is very interesting and will help you learn various stunts. This is a very interesting skating game which will keep you engaged.

Monday, December 21st, 2009

There are some games which are totally based on a storyline and Operation Vietnam is one of them. The story starts as four men gets lost in a jungle and would have to get them out of the situation. The four men are loaded with some guns and grenades and some occasional air strikes. You will take guard of some stranded soldiers who are struck in the middle of the Vietnam War. You will have to make sure that they reach home in one piece.

You will have to fight against the enemy forces. The visuals of the game are not that good. The game is an action packed game and is provided in a top down perspective. The action is not very fast paced and you can play with a strategy. In the Operation Vietnam game you begin as a Sarge who is a lone soldier who is stranded with a rapid fire gun. You will have to find three companions and rescue them immediately. These three companions have actually crashed behind the very dangerous enemy lines in a Vietnamese jungle. One of those people is a doctor and he has the ability to heal a soldier. The game Operation Vietnam is about managing your multiple men in the best possible way.

The controls of the game are pretty difficult to understand and you will have to practice a lot to get a hang of things. The entire game is based on the strategy. The gameplay is the best part in this game.

Viva Pinata - Pocket Paradise (DS): Create your own Beautiful Garden

Monday, December 21st, 2009

The Viva Pinata - Pocket Paradise is one of the most engaging games available for the handheld Nintendo DS. The main motive of the game is to attract pinatas in your garden that is actually based on your level and the animals and plants that are currently present on your land. The most interesting part of the game is that you will never know that what will attract a pinata. Hence you will have to overhaul your land in order to attract a pinata. The controls are just fantastic and the developer has made immaculate use of the touch screen controls of the gaming console.

Sweeping around the garden is a very easy job and you will have to continuously clean the garden in order to attract pinatas. On the other hand, you can easily plant bushes as well. You can also buy some tools for your garden from the store. Using the tool you can easily mould the garden according to the preference. The controls in the Viva Pinata - Pocket Paradise game are better than most other Nintendo DS games. The game is pretty easy in the beginning but once you move to a higher level it becomes pretty difficult. In the higher levels of this game you will have to completely overhaul your garden quite frequently.

Each and every pinata has a different requirement and identifying the requirement is the most difficult job. The game is very addictive and is a good way to pass time. The graphics of this game are average but the gameplay is fantastic.

Ninja Reflex (DS): Learn the Way of the Ninja with Various Mini Games Designed to Hone your Skills

Monday, December 14th, 2009

At first look the game Ninja Reflex looks pretty boring but actually it is quite an interesting game. The game features 6 different challenges and each challenge has various tasks within them. The levels keep on unlocking slowly and steadily as you keep on advancing levels. The six main events in the game include nunchaku training, katana, firefly catching, fly chopstick, shuriken throwing and fishing. Each and every tier of the gameplay is decided by the player’s performance. There are a number of sub games in between these games which are quite interesting.

While playing the mini games you will earn a right so that you can do a belt test. The belt test actually includes various random challenges. You will have to pass the belt test in order to advance to the next level. The higher the level the more difficult it will be for you to complete. The Ninja Reflex (DS) game is not that addictive but it is quite interesting and fun to play. The only drawback of the game is that it is way too short and you will complete it in some hours. Some events are even identical to each other and all you need is practice to finish the game.

The most interesting level is the Hashi challenge in which you will have to catch flies with a chopstick. The controls are pretty easy and you can easily complete this challenge using the D-pad of the Nintendo DS. The Ninja Reflex is a pretty interesting game but it is way too short.
