Mario Kart DS Review

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

GTTV reviews Mario Kart for the Nintendo DS and they claim it is one of the best kart racing games ever made. Mario Kart DS has an online mode, but unfortunately not for the battle mode. If you’re the kind of person who buys a Nintendo DS and only plan to get one or two games for it, this is one game to get. They give it a 9.5 for gameplay, a 9 for design and an overall score of 9.3.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village DS Review

Saturday, February 16th, 2008

VideoGameTakeOut gives a review of Professor Layton and the Curious Village DS.  This is a cerebral puzzle solving game much like the Phoenix Wright series with a little Brain Age added to it.  Some of the puzzles are too difficult for younger kids, so it isn’t recommended unless you at least have a background in geometry.  Overall this is definitely a game to consider, especially if you like puzzle solving and adventure games.

Assassin’s Creed DS Review

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

IGN reviews Assassin’s Creed DS for the Nintendo DS Lite.  The DS version of this game isn’t a sequel or even a port of the other versions, but more of a stand alone game that uses the same characters and story.  This is a 3D game but you pretty much go from point A to point B instead of being able to freely roam around.  The game looks great but combat can be a “button pusher” more often than you might like.

Advance Wars: Days of Ruin DS Review

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

MewMichaelX7 reviews Advance Wars: Days of Ruin DS for the Nintendo DS Lite.  This is the follow up game to Advance Wars: Dual Strike DS.  In this version, they got rid of the old commanding officers, gave it a darker look and added wi-fi battles as well.  Overall he gives this and 86% and says it is an “awesome strategy game”.
