This video is more of a first look than a review. This one features the Ice Blue DS Lite, right out of the box. I don’t know about you, but I think I’d rather have a different color than ice blue.

In this video review, a British 14 year old - buzzbuzz312, reviews a black Nintendo DS Lite. He compares thickness, brightness and discusses the ups and downs. The down side: it’s easy to smudge and no thumbstrap.

Phillip Torrone of Make Blog does a quick review of the DS Lite here. Includes several photos. In a nutshell he says “it’s tiny, bright and elegant. You like the DS? You like DS lite even more. I can’t wait until Opera ships.”

In this final installment, Cabel shows even more brightness comparisons and proves hands down that the DS Lite is the brightest.

He also raves about the battery life and takes his system for a day out on the town to try to run the battery down!

Overall, an awesome conclusion to his three part review…I’m not sure how I’m going to top this, but I’ll try.

A Japanese DS Lite commercial…

In this second review of the DS Lite, Cabel answers your questions! In this video he discusses the GBA cartridge slot and shows you what it looks like when you put games from other systems in the slot.

He also does a thickness comparison between the DS Lite and other portable gaming systems, gives tips on how to hold it and does yet another brightness comparison.

This is a very well done first review of the Nintendo DS Lite done by a pair of hands. Ok, really…a guy named Cabel. In this review, he compares the DS to the DS Lite.

The verdict: Better screen, lighter, brighter and awesomer.

Hello there! This is the first of many posts to come - all about the Nintendo DS Lite portable gaming system. Currently, I don’t have enough moola to buy one and review myself - but I am saving for one so I can give it a full review myself.

Until I get one, I will be posting links to other print and video reviews so you can see be as informed as possible before you buy one yourself.

So far, the all I have seen of the DS Lite is the demo they have at Wal-Mart, and from what I’ve seen it looks very nice! I’ve heard nothing but good about it and the great tech god Leo Laporte has given it a thumbs up as well.

I’ve done a little bit of Googling, but still have not found out whether the DS Lite comes with a game or not. It seems like it would make sense to include Super Mario Brothers, but maybe that’s just me. As soon as I can find the answer to this, I’ll update this post. If anyone knows, feel free to leave a comment below.
